Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about us. My name is Maju, and I’m the proud Founder and CEO of Green Sun Foods. As a mum to two beautiful children, I understand how important it is to choose healthy snacks. My husband Antonio and I strive to feed our family delicious, nutrient-rich, convenient food.

While living near some of the world’s lushest cacao fields, I experimented with superfoods and chocolate. From Macambo seeds to popped quinoa to goldenberries, and much more. I developed over ten innovative organic snacks made with 70% Peruvian cacao.
After several successful years operating within Peru, we decided to start afresh in Canada. Our family settled in Kitchener and is enjoying all this vibrant city has to offer. We’re excited to build a life here and introduce Green Sun Foods to the Canadian market.

Peruvian cacao has been cultivated for over 3000 years. It holds cultural significance within Peru and has earned international recognition as some of the best cacao worldwide. Peruvian cacao grows in the Amazon basin and in the foothills of the Andes Mountains. The incredible biodiversity in these regions is what makes Peruvian cacao so special. It has exceptional quality and a unique flavour profile.

Green Sun Foods was born out of our family’s desire to find snacks that are both nutritious and full of flavour. From the very beginning, we were eager to find a name that expresses our core values. After several days of family word games, we fell in love with Green Sun Foods’.
